Scottish Re Group Ltd. on Friday disclosed that its board has instructed management to explore selling its Life Reinsurance North America segment.

The Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said the move is part of its previously announced strategy to develop opportunities to maximize the value of its core competitive capabilities.

China Reinsurance Corp. may list only on mainland China's A-share market if it is unable to attract a foreign investor to take up a 10% stake in the company, the South China Morning Post reported Monday, citing unnamed sources.

China Reinsurance said last month it was aiming to list in both Hong Kong and Shanghai, without mentioning the amount it aimed to raise.
