Circular bidding to perhaps fix the Bond Market

With the bond auction market in a struggle, federal regulators are being urged to get behind a plan that some bond sellers are pushing as a short-term fix. Lets take a quick look at how we can perhaps buy back our own IOU’s and clean off our slate.

Call it quits and start over? Perhaps a little regulatory Laxity:

Think if it like this… If bond sellers could just eliminate their bad tickets and call it “game over”. The bond sellers would escape hundreds of millions of dollars in investment penalties. Face it, with the slowdown in the bond market, this would be a good idea to kick start things a little and get the market running a little smoother. Now if the federal regulators would just hop on this boat, we could work towards moving back to a more comfortable playing field in the market. Lets not call it a manipulation of legal and moral obligations, but lets just get the Securities and Exchange Commission to shield the circular bidding.
